Gabe McKay was born in Haiti adopted and raised in Juntura, Oregon, a small Eastern Oregon town along with his 5 adopted siblings. Since middle school Gabe has been riding rough stock. This love was cultivated by growing up around animals and the prevalence of the sport on his dad's side of the family. He loves the “never say quit” attitude that comes from being a bronc rider and the unique camaraderie that is found in the sport.The glorification of God is a major part of both the sport and the western way of life, and he wouldn’t have it any other way.
